KAPPA KAPPA GAMMA FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS

Review the entire Scholarships Application Guide for requirements, supporting document information, checklists for each scholarship category, FAQs, a timeline, and more. Applicants will be asked to sign off on reading the Scholarship Application Guide prior to submitting their online application.

If you were awarded a scholarship for the 2025–26 academic year, you will receive an email when the check is in the mail. Scholarship checks will be mailed by July 31 to the address indicated on your signed scholarship agreement. You can find this information in the agreement sent in May. Please keep a copy of the agreement for your records.

To help our members in their academic pursuits, the Kappa Foundation grants scholarships to hundreds of undergraduates and graduates every year.

As our members strive to make a meaningful change in the world around them, we empower them to reach their full potential. It’s why our scholarships are built on a simple premise: encourage Kappas to reach their educational goals.

Most scholarships are $3,000 and are awarded for the following academic year. The Kappa Foundation was pleased to award over $1.2 million in scholarships for the 2023–24 academic year.

UNDERGRADUATE NEED-BASED SCHOLARSHIPS

Undergraduate applicants may apply for a merit-based OR need-based scholarship, but not both. If you try to apply for both types of scholarships, neither application will be accepted.

If you will be a fifth-year undergraduate student, apply for an undergraduate merit-based or need-based scholarship, not a graduate scholarship.

Most need-based awards are up to $5,000 per year or up to $2,500 per term.

MARISOL SCHOLARSHIP

For undergraduate Kappas who find themselves with extreme financial need due to a new or existing situation, applying for a Marisol Scholarship may be an option.

If you meet the requirements for an undergraduate need-based scholarship, you may also meet the requirements for the Marisol Scholarship. The award covers 75% of educational costs, including tuition and fees, housing costs and books.

GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIPS

The award for full-time students is up to $3,000 per year or up to $1,500 per term. The award for part-time students is up to $1,500 per year or up to $750 per term. Full-time student status is considered 9 credit hours per term and part-time student status is considered between 3 and 8.9 credit hours per term.

Keep this in mind: Rose McGill Continuing Education Grants are available for students with fewer than 3 credit hours per term. Click here for the application.

CONTINUING EDUCATION

The Rose McGill Alumna Continuing Education Grant is specifically for alumna members who have found it necessary to interrupt their education or who need further education for the purpose of career qualification or advancement. Grants do not exceed $1,000 per year and are awarded on the basis of need, merit, and individual goals for study at a college, university, or vocational or technical school. These grants are not available to full-time graduate students. They are designed to fund part-time study, usually for a specific course.

Application deadline: Aug. 1, Dec. 1, May 1.
